About me

Hi, I’m Jo.

Having worked for the NHS and charity sector for over 20 years I have experienced the power of ‘telling your story‘. I have experience working with people facing adversity, end of life and child bereavement.

I am a registered member of the BACP and trained with The Counselling Foundation in St. Albans. I work in private practice with clients experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, grief and childhood trauma.

I continue my professional development; however, I believe that a vital part has been my own personal development having spent many years in personal therapy, in the ‘other chair’. This first-hand experience allows me to meet you with genuine empathy and understanding of the courage it takes to start the process and explore growth. 

As a therapist, I aim to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.

I will work with you through the process, a process that can help you understand yourself more deeply, work through emotional difficulties, and make meaningful changes in your life.
